MVDC / LVDC Architecture Map: vendor coverage across DC voltage classes
Living index of vendor capability across DC voltage classes for AI data-centre power infrastructure. As of August 2026 there is still no dedicated data-centre 1500V DC standard published; IEC 60364-7-712 (photovoltaic systems) remains the nearest published analog. The 800V DC facility-to-rack architecture championed by NVIDIA (with OCP as the standards forum) is now the dominant near-term target, and the vendor list below is organised around that reality.
Every vendor has a maturity stage (rumored to prototype/demo to pilot to early commercial to volume shipping) and a last-verified date, because "who is listed" and "who is actually shipping" are different questions. Two companion files ship alongside this document: a full vendor database spreadsheet + an SST maturity timeline chart for the one category with real dated milestones.

Updated quarterly, public information only. Maturity stages reflect vendors' own public statements unless otherwise noted. "Early commercial" or "volume shipping" is not independent confirmation of delivered volume.
02Vendor categories by infrastructure layer
1. Grid-facing power conversion (medium-voltage-to-DC, incumbents)
Established power-equipment majors delivering facility-level MV-to-DC conversion, collaborating directly with NVIDIA/OCP on 800V DC reference designs. Eaton's SST position is largely inorganic, via its Resilient Power Systems acquisition.

2. Solid-state transformer (SST) specialists
A distinct, mostly pre-volume-production cohort building SST as the core product rather than as one item in a broad power-equipment catalog. Most of this group is in pilot or early-commercial stage, with volume shipments generally guided to 2027-2028. Read this category next to the timeline chart below, not instead of it. The dates matter more than the labels.

2b. SiC device suppliers (feeding SST and rack-level power)
Distinct from POL semiconductors below. Wolfspeed supplies the underlying silicon-carbide devices that SST and rack-power vendors build with, not point-of-load conversion ICs.

3. Building/facility distribution (busway, switchgear)
Note Vertiv and Schneider now also present rack-level 800V DC in-row power products (category 4), so the line between "building distribution" and "rack-level" is blurring for these two specifically. Only Legrand + Rittal are listed exclusively in this category; Eaton/Schneider/ABB/Siemens/Vertiv are cross-listed and appear in category 1's table.

Rack/system integrators building or demonstrating 800V DC power racks and shelves for NVIDIA's next-generation platforms. The most active layer in the current ecosystem.

Navitas specifically has publicised 800V-to-6V GaN power delivery board designs that skip the intermediate 48V bus stage. Worth watching as a possible topology shift, not just a vendor addition.

6. BESS / backup energy storage integration
Eaton's supercapacitor-based backup is a materially different technology from chemical-battery BESS, worth distinguishing when it matters to a design. Heron Power appears here and in category 2 (integrated SST + battery buffer).

A distinct, largely China-domestic vendor and deployment ecosystem runs in parallel to the Western/Taiwanese one above, with its own hyperscaler relationships (Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud), standards processes, and, for specific product categories, export-control exposure that changes faster than a quarterly document can track.
